  • Wednesday 20 July 2022 Sports Day Pupils took part in the annual sports day. We were really lucky with the weather. Thank you for parents and families who were able to come along a support the pupils.

  • Friday 27 May 2022 The Queen's Platinum Jubilee We have had a full week of activities and celebrations for the Queen's Jubilee. Activities have involved learning about the life of the Queen, her Commonwealth, and the last 70 years in Britain. We finished the week with a picnic and garden fete.
  • Friday 4 March 2022 Chickens - Class 1 Class 1 had a visit from 2 chickens to support their understanding of how to care for different animals and the world around us. The children were very gentle stroking the chickens and helped pour in food and water to keep the birds happy and healthy.
  • Friday 4 March 2022 PCSO Visit Class 1 were visited by PCSO Teresa Key. She spoke to the children about her job and how she helps people. All of the children enjoyed dressing up in police hats and jackets.
  • Tuesday 1 March 2022 Drum Kit We have been kindly donated a drum kit for the pupils to practice on by Dennis Addy who is refurbishing a range of instruments to help benefit schools in our local area. The drum set will allow our pupils to experience a different instrument and provide an opportunity that they have not had before.
  • Tuesday 8 February 2022 Internet Safety Day On Tuesday 8th February students across the school learnt important e-safety skills as part of Safer Internet Day, they learnt about how to stay safe with the theme of respect and relationships when gaming online. Every class enjoyed a themed lesson about internet safety sharing learning from across the school in assembly.
  • Friday 17 December 2021 Christmas Concert Staff performed songs for the pupils in a Christmas Concert and led them in singing traditional carols. This brought our Christmas week to a wonderful conclusion.
  • Thursday 16 December 2021 Pantomime Visit Pupils and staff enjoyed the annual pantomime visit to The Embassy Centre in Skegness. We travelled by coach to Skegness to see the morning performance of Sleeping Beauty and returned to school in time for lunch. Thank you to The Embassy Centre and Hunt Coaches.
  • Wednesday 15 December 2021 Christmas Dinner Pupils and staff were treated to a full Christmas Dinner today in school. The afternoon was finished with a disco and games in the new hall.
  • Tuesday 14 December 2021 Nativity St James Church in Spilsby kindly hosted the Nativity for the school. Pupils recreated the Christmas Story with a modern musical twist. Thank you for your support.
  • Monday 13 December 2021 Christmas Craft Day Classes enjoyed a day of Christmas craft making. Pupils made some fantastic creations including cards, decorations, calendars, gift bags and cookies.
  • Friday 19 November 2021 Children In Need Pupils and staff supported the Children In Need charity with a wear it bright and wacky day. We raised over £150, well done and thank you for your support.
  • Tuesday 20 July 2021 Sports Day Pupils took part in the annual sports day.  They enjoyed the races and the weather was really kind this year. Hopefully we will be able to invite spectators again next year.
  • Friday 16 July 2021 Culture Week Japan was the focus for culture week this year. During the morning sessions all pupils enjoyed learning about and exploring the different cultures and the history of Japan.  This included learning how to write in Japanese, listening to Japanese music and exploring the religious festival Wesak.  During the afternoon sessions pupils enjoyed making brightly coloured kites and windsocks which were used to help celebrate during the Japanese festival afternoon.  Pupils also participated in a real-life gaming afternoon which included human Pac Man and Mario Cart.  We finished the week with a class competition which involved making a rickshaw for an adult to race.
  • Wednesday 31 March 2021 Eresby School is 50! The school celebrated its 50th birthday today with a 70's day.  Pupils and staff dressed in 70's clothes, learnt about the decade and took part in 70's themed games. The school was full of colour and vibrancy.  The day ended with dancing to 70's music.
  • Friday 19 March 2021 Comic Relief Day Pupils and staff had a sponsored dance to raise funds for Red Nose Day.  We raised just over £100 for the charity.
  • Tuesday 9 February 2021 E-Safety Day Classes have taken part in E-Safety Day today with timely reminders on how to stay safe when using the internet.  Activities have been shared both in school and for those pupils home learning.
  • Thursday 31 December 2020 School Returning Following the Government announcement on the return of schools, Eresby School will be open to all pupils on Monday 4th January 2021.  
  • Thursday 17 December 2020 EXCITING NEWS!!! Our new minibus has arrived today, what a Christmas present.  We are all looking forward to the time when we can go out on school trips again.  Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past few years raising funds for our contribution to the Variety Club minibus.
  • Thursday 17 December 2020 Christmas Concert Staff performed Christmas Carols and a pantomime to entertain the pupils in the playground today.  This was a really nice finish to the Christmas festivities for the school.  The weather has been kind to us this week enabling all the planned activities to go ahead outdoors in a safe manner.  Happy Christmas from all at Eresby School.
  • Wednesday 16 December 2020 Craft Day We are having a quiet day in school today with all classes concentrating on Christmas craft activities.  Lots of tinsel and glitter being used to make amazing creations.
  • Tuesday 15 December 2020 Christmas Dinner All pupils and staff enjoyed a Christmas Dinner in school.  Sadly this year we had to do things a little differently and we were unable to invite guests.  We had a party in the playground to finish festivities for the day.
  • Tuesday 15 December 2020 Christmas Jumper Day Thank you for the kind donations for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Charity.  Staff and pupils wore their jumpers today and raised over £90 for the charity.
  • Monday 14 December 2020 Pantomime Thank you to the Embassy Centre for giving us the pantomime to watch in school.  Pupils were able to enjoy the pantomime in the comfort and safety of the classrooms and still being able to have the interval ice-creams.  
  • Thursday 10 December 2020 Nativity The pupils performed the nativity in the school playground.  We missed not being in St James Church with our family and friends but we celebrated in a safe and secure environment.  Hopefully next year we can invite you all back to join us at St James.
  • Friday 13 November 2020 Children In Need Thank you for your support this year with Children In Need.  We raised £103 for the charity with a non-uniform day.
  • Monday 19 October 2020 Harvest Festival We have celebrated Harvest Festival this week at school.  We had the service in the school playground, socially distance in groups.  Pupils did reading, poems and performed a selection of Harvest themed songs.  Sadly this year we were unable to invite guests.
