  • Thursday 8 February 2024 Parents Afternoon Parents and carers were invited into school to spend some time in class with the pupils followed by an awards assembly. There was a fantastic turnout and well done to the pupils for all their achievements.
  • Wednesday 7 February 2024 Micronclean Visit Micronclean Ltd, one of our work experience providers and local employers, visited Cedar Class to give an insight into the services they provide. Pupils took part in activities and a competition to see how fast they could put on PPE garments required.
  • Tuesday 6 February 2024 Internet Safety Day 2024 Pupils from across the school celebrated Internet Safety Day with a variety of activities. Willow Class enjoyed the technology in the Sensory Room. Poplar Class identified people who can help them and places where they feel safe. Maple Class used the Bee-Bots to make choices and give instructions. Cedar Class made posters identifying how to stay safe when gaming online.
  • Tuesday 23 January 2024 Futures Fair The school hosted a Futures Fair for further and alternative providers, as well as businesses who provide experiences for our students. The event was well attended by pupils, parents and carers.
  • Thursday 18 January 2024 Nationwide UK Nationwide UK delivered a workshop to Oak Class in school. The group completed a budgeting exercise and learnt how to keep their money safe.
  • Monday 15 January 2024 Boccia Competition The school sent teams to take part in a local Boccia event hosted by KEVI. Well done to the teams taking part with a 3rd and 5th place.
  • Wednesday 10 January 2024 Change for Life Wellbeing Event A group of primary pupils attended an event at Skegness Grammar School with pupils from other local schools to take part in sporting activities to support wellbeing and resilience. The pupils and staff really enjoyed the team building activities and came away with lots of ideas to use in school.
  • Wednesday 20 December 2023 Snow White Pantomime 2023 Pupils and staff travelled to the Embassy Centre in Skegness for the performance of Snow White. The performance was enjoyed by all.
  • Tuesday 19 December 2023 Christmas Dinner 2023 The school hosted the annual Christmas Dinner in school for all staff and pupils. Guests were invited to join classes for the festivities.
  • Monday 18 December 2023 Christmas Craft Day 2023 Pupils took part in craft based activities making Christmas cards, calendars, decorations and place mats for Christmas Dinner.
  • Friday 15 December 2023 Donation - Tesco Cafe Thank you to Tesco Cafe, Boston for generously donating gift bags to pupils in class 1 and a hamper full of treats for staff.
  • Friday 15 December 2023 Nativity 2023 St James Church in Spilsby hosted the performance of Bethlehem the Musical by all the pupils. Parents and families enjoyed the performance.
  • Wednesday 13 December 2023 Santa Fun Run Pupils and staff took part in the David Ross Education Trust Santa Fun Run to raise funds for the Enrichment program. Unfortunately it rained but this did not dampen the spirits of the pupils who were enthusiastic throughout.
  • Wednesday 13 December 2023 Christmas Fayre The school hosted its first Christmas Fayre. Pupils and families were invited to take part in activities and games. The Enterprise Group took the opportunity to showcase their crafts for purchase. Thank you to those who were able to support the event.
  • Friday 8 December 2023 Carol Concert The school choir went over to Eresby Hall for a Carol Concert with residents. The concert was well received and the pupils enjoyed the experience.
  • Thursday 7 December 2023 Christmas Card Competition The pupils entered Christmas Card designs into the Spilsby Cracker Day competition and we had 4 winners, well done!
  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 Work Experience Update Pupils are continuing to enjoy internal and external work experience. Two pupils spent four days at Treehouse Children's Centre. The pre-school children thoroughly enjoyed the pupils leading singing sessions, reading stories and playing games. Our learners had the magic touch and even managed to get the babies to sleep!

  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 Cracker Day Pupils from the Enterprise group set up a stall with products that they had made and had donated to sell. As part of the process they covered money management and communication skills with selling to the public. The group were welcomed into the community to showcase the talent the pupils of the school have.
  • Tuesday 5 December 2023 Internet Safety and Preparation for Adulthood The school hosted parents for presentations and discussions around Internet Safety and Preparation for Adulthood. We thank the parents who were able to attend.
  • Tuesday 5 December 2023 Lincs FM Fill the Bus Tour Students representing the school at the Lincs FM Fill the Bus Tour. They handed over donations of children's toys from Eresby Special School parents to help the Mission for Kids – every child in Lincolnshire should get a Christmas! They were met by Lincs FM DJ Joseph Begley who invited them onto the bus to put the presents with the other donations. We even had a brief interview for the radio too!
  • Thursday 30 November 2023 Rowing Championship Seven pupils were selected to represent Eresby School at the David Ross Education Trust Rowing Championships. The group travelled to the Mere’s Leisure Centre in Grantham and competed against other school in the Trust group. They had a fantastic day and all did amazingly in their individual races.
  • Friday 3 November 2023 Snow White Pantomime On Wednesday, the whole school enjoyed Snow White Pantomime. It was a very interactive performance which had the pupils joining in with signing, singing, and dancing. We are looking forward to welcoming them back in May for a performance of the Hobbit and then again in November for a production of Beauty of the Beast.
  • Friday 20 October 2023 Harvest Festival 2023 Sadly we had to cancel the Harvest Festival on the last day of term due to the weather however we received donations of provisions from pupils and families which the school donated to the Christian Fellowship Food bank in Spilsby for use in our community.
  • Wednesday 18 October 2023 Tong Engineering Class 9 enjoyed an exclusive tour round Tong Engineering, where they learnt about the many different machines and job roles.
  • Wednesday 18 October 2023 Work Experience Learners have already started to take part in work experience. Two learners spent 4 days the week working in Sainsbury’s. They demonstrated fantastic communication skills when helping customers, and teamwork when stocking up the shelves and fridges.
  • Tuesday 17 October 2023 Grandma's Pudding Classes 7 and 8 got creative, making their own pizza in a cooking workshop led by Grandma’s Pudding Co.
  • Tuesday 10 October 2023 Local Park Visit Class 2 ventured to the local park which provided the perfect opportunity to observe seasonal changes, and of course make the adults go down the slide!
  • Thursday 5 October 2023 Rhubarb Theatre Visit
  • Wednesday 27 September 2023 Sainsbury's Visit Class 5 and 6 demonstrated excellent listening skills in a healthy eating workshop led by Sainsbury’s. They tasted some of the more unusual fruits and vegetables, as well as learning their names and country of origin.
